"Building a Purposeful Business with Honey at the Heart"

If you had told me a decade ago that I would one day be leading a global, multi-award-winning communications agency with offices in London, New York, Munich, and Singapore, I’d probably have smiled politely and asked you to pass the Earl Grey.

My journey hasn’t followed a straight line. Like many women in business, I’ve navigated complex crossroads: the decision to start a family, to step away from a corporate career at its peak, to return on my own terms—and ultimately, to found Milk & Honey PR with nothing more than a laptop, a kitchen table, and a strong belief that people deserve better from the workplace.

From Agency Exec to Entrepreneur

After two decades in PR, including senior leadership roles at some of the industry’s biggest names, I knew there was a better way to do business. A kinder way. A braver way. In 2017, I set out to create an agency rooted in values—where energy, respect, collaboration and integrity weren’t just buzzwords but everyday behaviours.

Milk & Honey was born to put people first: our clients, our colleagues, our community. From the outset, we focused on building a business that treats everyone with respect and rewards them fairly. We certified as a B Corp in year three and remain fiercely committed to our triple bottom line: people, purpose, and planet.

Innovating with Empathy

What sets us apart in a saturated market? Radical humanity. Yes, we’re strategic. Yes, we’re data-savvy. But the real magic comes from our people and our values. We combine insight-driven storytelling with smart tech—from sentiment analysis to real-time reputation tracking—to help brands stay ahead in an unpredictable world.

This year’s People, Purpose, Planet report is a brilliant example. It’s our flagship proof point that brand purpose can—and should—be measurable. It empowers our clients to lead with impact and transparency, and it’s helping set a new standard in ESG communications.

The Juggle of a Lifetime

I’m a mother to two wonderful boys, and I can tell you now—there is no perfect balance. There are only choices, boundaries, and a lot of tea.

Motherhood didn’t hold me back. It made me sharper, more empathetic, and more determined to build a business where others wouldn’t have to choose between career and family. Milk & Honey is unapologetically Motherhood didn’t hold me back. It made me sharper, more empathetic, and more determined to build a business where others wouldn’t have to choose between career and family. Milk & Honey is unapologetically flexible. We trust our people to deliver without micromanaging how or where they work.

For me, the school run is sacred. So is the boardroom. And I believe every woman should feel empowered to show up fully in both spaces without compromise or guilt.

Standing on the Shoulders of Giants

I didn’t get here alone. I’ve been lucky to have mentors—mostly women—who taught me to trust my voice, back myself, and never apologise for ambition. I now try to pass that forward as often as I can, especially to the next generation of female leaders coming up through our ranks.

We’ve worked hard to build a diverse, inclusive senior team at Milk & Honey—75% of our leadership roles are held by women, and not by accident. By design.

Leading with Integrity in a Competitive World

The PR world is fast, competitive, and often ego-driven. We chose a different path. We’ve scaled steadily, choosing purpose-aligned clients over big-name logos, and focusing on depth of relationship rather than breadth of billing.

While large networks often grow by acquisition, we’ve built our global footprint organically—by following brilliant people into new markets and giving them the freedom to lead. We’re now considering strategic acquisitions, but always with our values front and centre.

Looking Ahead

The future is exciting. We’re investing in AI-powered tools to deepen our insights and enhance creativity. We’re leaning further into ESG and impact comms. And we’re continuing to champion a workplace culture where everyone can thrive.

Being recognised as one of the top 10 inspiring women in business is a huge honour. But more than that, I hope it serves as a reminder to every woman reading this: you don’t need permission to lead. You don’t have to choose between your ambition and your life. You can build your business, your family, your future—your way.

Because when women lead with purpose, everybody wins.”
